How can a Life Coach help ME?

Vicky Evans Coaching Solutions

I think we can all agree that 2020 has been one heck of a year! I’ve seen a big increase in the number of people seeking to make changes in their lives. Can you relate?

As a life coach, I specialise in teaching people to be kinder to themselves, to build self-belief, befriend their inner critic and grow their courage and confidence.

To help you decide whether you’d like to work with a life coach, I’ve answered five popular questions:

1. What does a life coach do?

Whether you want to change your career, improve your health, achieve more balance, or have better relationships – help from a life coach makes it more likely to happen!

When you have support and encouragement from a personal coach and an actionable plan, you can move through life with confidence and get to where you want to be.

2. Who do you work with?

I offer personal coaching to individuals one-on-one or as part of a small coaching group.  I also provide mentorship and professional coaching to companies, organisations and teams.

3. Do you help people with low self-esteem and anxiety?

Absolutely. Many of my clients have come to me with anxiety, a lack of confidence and self-doubt.  I help people to see beyond what’s been holding them back and help them to create a life they love even more.

When I contacted Vicky, I did not have much self-confidence. All along the process, she guided me with patience and optimism. Little by little she helped me to take away the anxiety and to be more compassionate with myself. She has also given me a few useful recommendations that have changed my daily life.”

4. What’s it like to work with a life coach?

As your coach, I help you identify any goals you might have, or any professional aspirations or life changes you’d like to make. Then I provide you with an actionable plan and give you the strategies, encouragement, and support you need to achieve the outcomes you’re looking for.

Vicky has helped keep me on track to reach my goals, both long- term and short-term. Her accountability sessions are such a valuable resource for refocusing on the important things and working on practical steps to achieve my goals. I recommend Vicky wholeheartedly to support you on your journey towards success.”

5. Do you do career coaching?

Yes. Many of my clients are looking for strategies to increase confidence and build leadership potential, or, to change career direction to find something that is more fulfilling. I can help you set a new direction – even help you update your CV and prepare for an interview.

“It was a valuable investment engaging Vicky. She helped me tune and expand my career aspirations, held me to account and expanded my thinking beyond career to lifestyle. Vicky helps dispel imposter syndrome and will expand your view of what’s possible.”

What does a life coach actually help with?

Life coaching helps you identify what may be holding you back and supports you to move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and direction.

Coaching can help with overthinking, self-doubt, perfectionism, confidence, career decisions, boundaries, relationships, motivation, and feeling stuck.

How do I know if life coaching is right for me?

If you feel disconnected, overwhelmed, unfulfilled, stuck in old patterns, or unsure what your next step is, coaching can help you gain clarity and momentum.

Many people come to coaching when they know something needs to change but aren’t sure where to start.

What results can I expect from coaching?

Every person’s journey is different, but clients often experience improved confidence, stronger boundaries, reduced overthinking, clearer goals, better communication, and greater self-belief.

Because the coaching process is highly practical and action-focused, clients often notice increased momentum, improved follow-through, reduced procrastination, and greater consistency in taking action toward the life or leadership goals they want.

Many people also report feeling calmer, more motivated, and more aligned with the life they truly want.

Do you provide accountability between sessions?

Yes. Accountability is one of the biggest reasons coaching creates lasting change. Many clients know what they want to do, but struggle with procrastination, overthinking, perfectionism, or self-doubt.

Coaching provides structure, support, encouragement, and practical accountability to help you follow through on the changes you want to make. Clients also receive personalised session summaries and action steps via email to help maintain focus and momentum between sessions.

What if I’ve already tried everything?

Many clients come to coaching after trying therapy or counselling or self help books/courses to work through challenges on their own. Sometimes what’s missing is objective support, accountability, new strategies, and someone who can help you see your blind spots more clearly.

Coaching is fundamentally future-focused and action-oriented. While we may explore past patterns and limiting beliefs, coaching is designed to help you create practical change moving forward.
