What is A Vision Workshop Event?

Saturday 17th May was a special day for me, the other women who presented and of course, the women who chose to attend this event in Wellington. Devoting a Saturday afternoon to being inspired, sharing time, energy and contributions and feeling a sense of community!

Women Inspiring Women was the brainchild of Chandan Makan, an accountant and yoga teacher with big ideas about bringing #Wellington women together.

Chandan picked up one of my flyers, five years ago! She called me about a year ago to discuss this event – and we reconnected three months ago and decided to make it happen!

The event took place at Wellington’s own ASB Sport Centre! I loved presenting my Vision Workshop to an amazing group of inspiring Women.

How do you apply a VISION to your life? It starts simply by looking at each of these key areas: Our health, relationships, time and money availability and our work or vocation. Then answering the question, “if you could CHOOSE what to invite into your life, in this area, what would you create?”

What would be LOVE? More time? To be more present with yourself or your partner or children? To be fitter or get in the best shape of your life? To get promoted or start your own business?

We can stop ourselves from dreaming if we allow conditional thinking (such as my past experience tells me this is unrealistic or I have tried and failed before) to dominate when we have a strong desire to do or try something different. To stretch outside of our comfort zone. The exciting part is that when we do, we create the growth that our intuition and heart strive to achieve.

In short, if we don’t take any different actions, our lives will just run on repeat. And that’s not my wish for anyone reading this!

Over the years I have delivered my Vision workshop in libraries and community centres (back in 2016 when I founded my business) to latterly, at conferences and around boardroom tables.

If you’d love to know more about booking a small or large scale workshop for your community or business, let’s chat. Please book yourself in for a no-cost strategy session here to review your needs and if what I offer can be of service: https://vickyevans.com/book

I’d also like to acknowledge the talents of my awesome co-presenters @Carolinecarpenterstylist (personal stylist extraordinaire) and Rosa who not only shared her cacao and her cacao ambassador journey. Thank you @Chandanmakan for hosting and for holding on to one of my flyers for five years before deciding to run your own event!!
