What is A Vision Workshop Event?

Saturday 17th May was a special day for me, the other women who presented and of course, the women who chose to attend this event in Wellington. Devoting a Saturday afternoon to being inspired, sharing time, energy and contributions and feeling a sense of community!

Women Inspiring Women was the brainchild of Chandan Makan, an accountant and yoga teacher with big ideas about bringing #Wellington women together.

Chandan picked up one of my flyers, five years ago! She called me about a year ago to discuss this event - and we reconnected three months ago and decided to make it happen!

The event took place at Wellington’s own ASB Sport Centre! I loved presenting my Vision Workshop to an amazing group of inspiring Women.

How do you apply a VISION to your life? It starts simply by looking at each of these key areas: Our health, relationships, time and money availability and our work or vocation. Then answering the question, "if you could CHOOSE what to invite into your life, in this area, what would you create?"

What would be LOVE? More time? To be more present with yourself or your partner or children? To be fitter or get in the best shape of your life? To get promoted or start your own business?

We can stop ourselves from dreaming if we allow conditional thinking (such as my past experience tells me this is unrealistic or I have tried and failed before) to dominate when we have a strong desire to do or try something different. To stretch outside of our comfort zone. The exciting part is that when we do, we create the growth that our intuition and heart strive to achieve.

In short, if we don't take any different actions, our lives will just run on repeat. And that's not my wish for anyone reading this!

Over the years I have delivered my Vision workshop in libraries and community centres (back in 2016 when I founded my business) to latterly, at conferences and around boardroom tables.

If you'd love to know more about booking a small or large scale workshop for your community or business, let's chat. Please book yourself in for a no-cost strategy session here to review your needs and if what I offer can be of service: https://vickyevans.com/book

I'd also like to acknowledge the talents of my awesome co-presenters @Carolinecarpenterstylist (personal stylist extraordinaire) and Rosa who not only shared her cacao and her cacao ambassador journey. Thank you @Chandanmakan for hosting and for holding on to one of my flyers for five years before deciding to run your own event!!

What does a life coach actually help with?

Life coaching helps you identify what may be holding you back and supports you to move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and direction.

Coaching can help with overthinking, self-doubt, perfectionism, confidence, career decisions, boundaries, relationships, motivation, and feeling stuck.

How do I know if life coaching is right for me?

If you feel disconnected, overwhelmed, unfulfilled, stuck in old patterns, or unsure what your next step is, coaching can help you gain clarity and momentum.

Many people come to coaching when they know something needs to change but aren’t sure where to start.

What results can I expect from coaching?

Every person’s journey is different, but clients often experience improved confidence, stronger boundaries, reduced overthinking, clearer goals, better communication, and greater self-belief.

Because the coaching process is highly practical and action-focused, clients often notice increased momentum, improved follow-through, reduced procrastination, and greater consistency in taking action toward the life or leadership goals they want.

Many people also report feeling calmer, more motivated, and more aligned with the life they truly want.

Do you provide accountability between sessions?

Yes. Accountability is one of the biggest reasons coaching creates lasting change. Many clients know what they want to do, but struggle with procrastination, overthinking, perfectionism, or self-doubt.

Coaching provides structure, support, encouragement, and practical accountability to help you follow through on the changes you want to make. Clients also receive personalised session summaries and action steps via email to help maintain focus and momentum between sessions.

What if I’ve already tried everything?

Many clients come to coaching after trying therapy or counselling or self help books/courses to work through challenges on their own. Sometimes what’s missing is objective support, accountability, new strategies, and someone who can help you see your blind spots more clearly.

Coaching is fundamentally future-focused and action-oriented. While we may explore past patterns and limiting beliefs, coaching is designed to help you create practical change moving forward.
